Self Talk + Emotional Resonance Experiment Attempt Documentation and Results

I am back again working off my previous 6 day experiment with positive aligned self talk. 

I learnt a lot through that experiment so this is the same thing however with Abraham Hick’s emotional scale added. (as seen in picture)

The Method:

Self affirm throughout the day slowly and gently, and then pause and feel chosen elevated emotion (for this experiment we are going with joy). 

For example Affirmations like “ I am so good looking, I am so wealthy”, and then pause and feel joy.

The self-affirmation can be inside my head or loud, but due to others not looking at me sideways, it will be inside my head mostly.

What happened during the day:

Saturday , woke up in good time, got ready by 9am as I have a 10am thing.

Of-course still self – affirming inside my head and feeling joy after each affirmation. 

I am sat in Costa at the moment and a lot of women just keep looking at me. I continue affirming and feeling. Understanding this is very powerful because I am seeing some results immediately.

Around midday realised how exhausting this method was. I was burnt out and completely and emotionally depleted.

Instead I had the urge to robotically affirm using different affirmations internally.  That’s what I did for the rest of the day. 

So it was just like self talk, but It was just I am affirmations with my chosen self concept plus a few other ones like “I am amazing, I am wonderful” etc at a moderate speed with very low effort. 

These robotic affirmations carried no feelings, just statements. Felt effortless compared to the experiment. Felt like giving my mind a break.

Around afternoon I got sudden physical energy and urged to revamp my low effort Tiktok and Instagram food pages and they started gaining more traffic with new videos. Still robotically affirming.

It seems robotically affirming is even more low effort than my last experiment. And it has completely drowned out my mental clutter or any bad negative thoughts popping up, and when done long enough, became automatic for me.

As the day ends… well experiment blew up on the first day, but from the ashes of one experiment.. rises another one.

Key Findings:

Emotional resonance is powerful! But draining. At least myself, I did not find it sustainable, especially through the day, but maybe doing a session in the morning or evening is viable. 

Robotic affirming in a low effort – non emotional manner is extremely effective. And when done long enough, is easier to do and maintain for the whole day.
